On Thursday November 14, 2019 U.S. Commercial Service coordinated with local partners to bring the US Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) classification and export enforcement experts to Columbus for a one-day workshop on export compliance. The event brought together over 30 companies (50 people) to learn about the latest topics in export compliance.
This was the first time in five years BIS officials have presented in the Columbus area, as more in-depth training usually occurs in Cleveland or Cincinnati. In addition, Darren Srebnick was introduced as the new International Trade Specialist for the U.S. Commercial Service Columbus office.
