On Tuesday, August 27th, 2019, Congressman Bob Gibbs presented the US Commercial Service Export Achievement Certificate to Ohio DEC Member Jeff Sponseller of Miller Weldmaster in Navarre, OH.
“Many of our largest machine orders are now international orders,” Jeff Sponseller said, “We are proud to have machines in over 101 countries. We surpassed the 100 country mark about 3 years ago. Through planned global growth, we have sold products in new foreign markets, with a focus on Eastern Europe over the last 24 months. The US Department of Commerce and specifically Todd Hiser and Sue Whitney have been instrumental in helping Miller Weldmaster to work in a planned way to grow our company internationally. They continue to be resources for Miller Weldmaster with programs like Gold Key and just simply being there to help us as we grow and face hurdles” he continued, “I can candidly state that the growth of Miller Weldmaster globally would not have happened without the insight and support of Todd Hiser and Sue Whitney and the United States Department of Commerce.”
The Export Achievement Certificate was created to recognize small and medium-sized enterprises that have successfully entered the international marketplace for the first time or that have successfully entered a new market.
Nominations are encouraged and can be accepted throughout the year from local businesses, elected officials and community leaders. Nominations should be submitted to your local U.S. Export Assistance Center.
