U.S. Business Can Request 301 Exclusion Extension from USTR: Deadline February 15, 2020.
Section 301 tariff exclusions granted in March 2019 will expire on March 25, 2020. Tariff lines and descriptions of products that were granted exclusions are available for review here.
Requests for possible extension of particular product exclusions granted in March 2019 for an additional 12 months must be received by February 15, 2020 via regulations.gov under docket USTR–2019–0024 (Comment now here). USTR has provided a form to respond (“Form A”) and a supplemental form to capture business confidential information (“Form B”). Both forms are also available on ustr.gov here. If there is business confidential information that should be considered, it can be emailed, along with a copy of the corresponding Form A, to email@example.com. Form A must be uploaded to regulations.gov.
U.S. small businesses should monitor and respond on regulations.gov to any applicable Section 301 exclusion extension requests in advance of other expiration dates. USTR’s portal on Section 301 Actions is available on here.
