Water & Wastewater Trade Mission to Africa

The U.S. Department of Commerce is leading a water/wastewater treatment trade mission to Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa followed by an optional stop in Luanda, Angola.

The agenda will include:

• Pre-arranged business to business/government meetings
• Market briefings from South African and Angolan industry experts
• Networking opportunities
• VIP Access to the IFAT Water show with potential speaking opportunities

Why participate? Participating in this trade mission will give
U.S. companies an opportunity to be a part of the solution to South Africa’s pressing water issues. Government officials and municipalities are seeking solutions and collaboration to address the water challenges within the sector. For this reason, the WTM will open in Johannesburg, on the fringes of IFAT Africa, Africa’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, refuse and recycling. Following the Johannesburg stop, the mission will continue to Cape Town.

Following Cape Town, there will be an optional stop in Angola, where the Angolan government is incentivized to spend real resources on its existing water infrastructure, including restoring and expanding its existing sewage system and developing sewage collection and treatment systems. In addition, storm water drainage and flood control/prevention are also top priorities for the Angolan Government.

Join this mission to explore business opportunities!
