USPTO IP Attaché Program

April 13, 2021 9-10 am EST, via WebEx, FREE

Opportunity for virtual meeting with IP Attaches to US Consulates serving Mexico, China, Europe, Middle East & North Africa, Central Eurasia and Western Balkans.
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) IP Attaché Program promotes high-quality intellectual property (IP) systems internationally by placing IP attachés in U.S. embassies and consulates around the world.

As part of our ongoing outreach to U.S. stakeholders, five intellectual property (IP) Attachés from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will be conducting virtual outreach activities in the Ohio and Kentucky region and meeting with members and attendees to previous programs of the Northeast International Business Network this April 13, 2021 from 9:00am-10:00am EDT. IP Attachés are U.S. diplomats who improve IP systems abroad by using their extensive knowledge and experience in the field.

During outreach meetings, the Attachés meet with various stakeholders (including businesses of all sizes, industry associations, and other rights holders) to discuss current international IP issues of interest. The event is free, and provides a valuable opportunity for stakeholders to learn more about the IP Attachés’ work overseas in advocating for a strong and predictable IP environment and to discuss protection and enforcement concerns.
