The International Trade Administration (ITA) invites you to a new informative webinar on January 19 about “Made in USA” labeling requirements. In July 2021, the Federal Trade Commission finalized a new rule cracking down on marketers who make false, unqualified claims that their products are Made in the USA. Under the rule, marketers making unqualified Made in USA claims on labels should be able to prove that their products are “all or virtually all” made in the United States. These requirements impact virtually all manufactured goods regardless of industry.
This webinar will outline the details, with examples of situations when domestic origin claims would be accurate and when they would be inappropriate. Topics for discussion include:
• Essentials of “Made in USA” labeling and statutory requirements;
• Labeling criteria; and
• Maximize the global appeal of products that are Made in the USA.
This webinar is designed to share insights on the essentials of “Made in USA” labeling. More information on the labeling requirements can be found on the Federal Trade Commission’s website.
